Flat Earth Fun with the ‘Vacuum of Space’

A gaseous body cannot exist adjacent to a vacuum without something separating the two.

Therefore, how do spacecraft cross from air to the ‘vacuum of space’ and back again on reentry? How do they seal up the vacuum after them – after they have snuck through it?

Think about it!

Is it some sort of leaky vacuum? And, why doesn’t the vacuum of space pull all the air off the planet?
